Summer 2020 Resources
Find information on recommended and required academic assignments and resources to help your student maintain the progress they made this school year over the summer.
Elementary Grades (1st-5th)
Reading
Please read with your children and encourage them to read from the summer reading list over the summer! Since students have different reading levels within a grade, please consider book list suggestions from the grade level above and below your child's grade as well. Rising Kindergarten students are welcome to consult the 1st grade list for ideas.
Math
ICSAtlanta is excited to offer The Table Talk Math Course Series for rising 1st-5th graders to provide lessons, practice, and support through the summer. Each lesson includes a handout, prompt, and video to guide you and your child. To access the course, go to the Table Talk Math website, select the appropriate course for your child, scroll down to the bottom of the grade level's page (make sure you choose the "During COVID-19" option), select the "Enroll in Course" at the bottom of the page, and enter ICSATL20 on the Order Summary as your coupon. Your order should come to $0 with no credit card info needed. For questions, feel free to reach out to: john@tabletalkmath.com.
Middle Grades (6th-8th)
Reading
Rising 6th through 8th graders have REQUIRED summer reading assignments. Information about this assignment is available on Google Classroom and the middle school blog.
Math
Middle schoolers will benefit from working through the 5th grade math program described above to reinforce and solidify skills. To access the course, follow the instructions under "Math" above.
