Summer 2024 Resources

Find information on recommended or required academic assignments and resources to help your student maintain the progress they made this school year over the summer.

Reading: Rising Elementary Grades (K-3)

Our LC media specialist challenges you to read this summer, and, if you complete the entire chart, you will receive a small prize when we return to school in August! It's simple, all you have to do is print out an ICSAtlanta K-3 Summer Reading Incentive Chart, and color in one Wolfie for each 15 minutes that you read (or that someone reads to you).

Reading: Rising Elementary Grades (1-5)

Please read with your children and encourage them to read from the summer reading list over the summer! Since students have different reading levels within a grade, please consider book list suggestions from the grade level above and below your child's grade as well. Rising Kindergarten students are welcome to consult the 1st grade list for ideas.

Middle Grades (6th-8th)

Reading and Math

Rising 6th through 8th graders have REQUIRED summer reading assignments which are due the first day of school in August. Rising 6th grade enhanced math students and all rising 7th and 8th grade math students will have REQUIRED summer math assignments which will also be due the first day of school in August.
