Thank you to all the sponsors, volunteers and golfers who participated in the school's 1st golf event at the Laurel Springs Golf Club. Congratulations to the winning foursome that won dinner for 10 at Bonefish Grill in Johns Creek! The event proved to be a wonderful start to a new school tradition. We look forward to continuing this annual event next year.
ICSAtlanta supporters showed their support at two fundraisers in July. The Cheeseburger Bobby's event took place in Norcross and the Yogurt Mountain event took place in Johns Creek. Thank you to everyone who came to show your support for ICSAtlanta and language immersion education! More restaurant fundraisers will be scheduled in the fall of 2014. Hope to see you soon.
The Founding Board met with community members in Alpharetta to answer questions about ICSAtlanta and hear from the community. Thank you to everyone who came and asked such great questions and gave helpful suggestions. This event's Q&A spent a lot of time on the school's next steps and raising funds. ICSAtlanta will keep everyone up-to-date on our fundraising efforts which will begin at the end of May.
The last Town Hall Meeting for the spring was held in Cobb County at the Mountain View Community Center on April 28th. Every event has proven to be insightful on the hopes of our community parents. ICSAtlanta is using all of our supporters comments to help mold the school into an environment that our future students will utilize to thrive academically.
The first Town Hall Event for 2014 was held in Gwinnett County. The event proved once again that community members are searching for language immersion options for their children. The Founding Board members look forward to continuing our journey in educating the community about ICSAtlanta.
Our 1st Town Hall Meeting had a great turnout with around 200 people present! The meeting began with an introduction of the founding board members and a powerpoint presentaton about the plans for ICSAtlanta. Thank you to everyone who came to the meeting and asked such great questions! The Q&A section of the event really gave the board some perspective on what the community values for their children's education and how we should structure our school.
Another great Town Hall Meeting for ICSAtlanta with over 100 attendees! We saw a lot of new faces at the 2nd Town Hall Meeting and heard a lot of new questions. The layout of the event was similar to the 1st meeting with an introduction of the board members followed by a powerpoint presentation and ending with a Q&A section. The presentation used at the event contained some new information about our school plans and can be found on the website under the About Us section. The Founding Board really appreciates all the questions and comments from those present and they will all be considered as we finalize the ICSAtlanta Charter petition.
